Overview
This extraordinary world-class resort is located on Breton Island, Nova Scotia, and voted by Conde Nast as the top 4 island in the World on which to live. The resort itself will be set on 2,500 acres, including the Grand Lake, a 2.8 km long natural lake with 6.5 km shoreline and ocean access.

The development concept of Louisbourg Resort Golf & Spa is a luxury four season community in a truly unique setting surrounding the Grand Lake and the Ocean just a few km’s away.

The project will be developed in 5 phases, starting with phase 1 in the south and the total development will comprise approximately 400 resort homes. Each phase will be released and completed in stages to minimise disruption and complete the construction process.

The resort’s infrastructure will offer freestanding luxury chalets, fully furnished and equipped, a championship golf course, European spa and all the facilities an international world-class resort has to provide.

The grand opening of Louisbourg Resort Golf & Spa is scheduled for 2010. For owners and guests, operations will begin in 2008 within phase 1. Further completion of the main complex is scheduled in 2010.

Amenities will include an exclusive 18 hole championship golf course - 'The Fortress' and as well as another 18 hole par 3 course, both designed by the 6 times major golf champion and golf course architect Nick Faldo.

There will be a club-house, pro-shop, wide choice of bars and restaurants, boardwalk, beach house. leisure and family recreation centre and luxurious European spa. General stores, gym, tennis and squash courts, equestian centre and the resorts own air-strip for light planes.
